Thei...I think you're right about the Seahawks. Their personnel decisions in recent years have been fascinating to me, as well as their connection to Scot McCloughan, who I get the sense is into this sort of stuff. I thought it was really unfortunate to see him resign the other day.Sidney Mussburgerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03104367326238874951noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9104858724022491504.post-24513558013941158142014-04-28T21:28:53.207-04:002014-04-28T21:28:53.207-04:00You make a great point. I think there are a few teams that really use it....the Seahawks for one, but it's going to take the league by storm at some point.

I've been following your work since you started the blog, and I've loved every piece you did. Even though your thoughts are aligned with mine almost every time, the way you present it is genius. As for me, I don't write for anyone. My skills absolutely stink in that department. I didn't do the spreadsheet for drop and catch rates either. I know a guys that frequents Footballguys.com did though. I probably have it somewhere if you need it....just let me know.

Again, I really enjoy your stuff. I hope you keep at it......Tony.Wiltshirehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08018063084505561664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9104858724022491504.post-91473888947037593062014-04-25T17:19:37.683-04:002014-04-25T17:19:37.683-04:00This really is a small world. I've run across...This really is a small world. I've run across your work/name numerous times over the last couple of years, while scouring the internet for combine data. Sometimes I really start to suspect that there are only 15-20 people who write about the draft, and we all just spend our time reading each other's work, since nobody in their right mind would find this stuff terribly interesting, except for us lunatics.

Either way, I'm pleased and honored to have you pop in here, and wanted to thank you for the additional data to look through. I did have two questions for you, though maybe I should put this in an email instead. First, where are you posting most of your work nowadays, as I seem to just see you pop up in odd places from time to time? Secondly, were you the guy who used to maintain a rather excellent spreadsheet on college wide receiver drop rates/catch rates? I could have sworn that was you, and if so it was excellent, but I haven't seen it around for a while.

Feel free to email me anytime, as I'm sure I'll probably end up bugging you with my own questions at some point.Sidney Mussburgerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03104367326238874951noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9104858724022491504.post-91724349534776961532014-04-25T16:39:37.077-04:002014-04-25T16:39:37.077-04:00I failed to mention....the 10 yard splits the NFL ...I failed to mention....the 10 yard splits the NFL Network reported during the Combine are significantly different than the official times. I thought you'd be interested to having the actual numbers.Tony.Wiltshirehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08018063084505561664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9104858724022491504.post-28109076957449852792014-04-25T16:10:53.516-04:002014-04-25T16:10:53.516-04:00I really enjoy your work. Always an awesome read. ...I really enjoy your work. Always an awesome read. I'm not sure if you have the official combine numbers, but I have them in a spreadsheet:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AotIVo4gpWF8dEJqRmtrSjktMm5nMFRjOTNielVJV1E&output=html

If the number is in bold, I listed the respective Pro Day numbers. In a few cases with the QB's (Mett, Murray), I listed their Junior Pro Day numbers. All others are the lowest official electronic time from the Combine. The hand numbers were all over the place. If you'd like the official copy, shoot me an email and I'll send it to you.

I also have a spreadsheet for all the lesser known guys. You might be able to find a nugget or two or some numbers you can't locate. Here is the link:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1cx-zsXhwoOBZcMH1azWPoHE524JDQvDDSZEnhY90-LY/pubhtml

Again, I love your work, and wanted to show some appreciation for your efforts.
